David Jeffrey presented Eagle Scout award

David Jeffrey, president of Venture Crew 312, has been presented Scouting’s highest honor, the Eagle Scout award.

David, a rising senior at Spring Hill High School, was presented the award during a ceremony Aug. 6 at St. Simon and St. Jude Episcopal Church, the sponsor of Crew 312.

For his Eagle project, David and the crew built three picnic tables, two benches and a high table for Spring Hill.  During his ceremony, David presented photo albums of his project to three people he thanked for their help: a representative of the church, an official with Stier Supply Company of Irmo that provided the materials and the principal of the school.

David has served as first vice president, treasurer and chaplain’s aide for the crew and in various leadership roles in the troop where he was a member before joining the crew about two years ago.

Earlier this year he was presented with the Outstanding Crew Member of the Year Award.
